The Regent originally opened as a cinema in 1921 with 1,092 seats. It was later transformed into a bingo hall in the 1960s. The building is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in Blackpool, with customers reporting teacups moving on their own and objects being thrown across the room. It is said to be haunted many restless spirits who one in particular likes to wander the upper circle. Many guests have reported taps on the shoulder with no one there, chairs being flipped upwards and shadowy figures.
